About Bottled Roger

My name is Roger, Bottled Roger.  Allow me to paraphrase Brick Tamland, “I love beer.”  I always want to research the histories of beer styles and try craft beers (I’m hit and miss on this part).  People at work often ask me about beer and want recommendations.  My kids tell me to write about beers since I love it so much.  (I’m sure I hear sarcasm in that comment whenever it’s spoken).  This blog is for them.

The beers I’ll write about will usually be found in Kingman, Arizona.   But, I reserve the right to include beers that I find when on dates with my wife out of town and when the family goes on vacation.  There will be some comments/reviews/notes on these beers.  Oh, and pictures, too.  When it comes to beer notes, I don’t plan on doing a lot of editing to those posts.  They will be my first impressions of a beer as I drink it.  I’m no professional brewer or writer so please don’t expect too much.  I hope to improve my expressions as I continue to write, but this is all just for fun.  I like to write as much as I like to drink.  All right, fine, that was misleading.  I like to drink beer.  Then I write about it.  I’m just an average jerk who drinks and writes.  I can be reached at:  bottledroger@gmail.com.

  1. I came across your blog and wanted to send you some ideas.

We promote fun drinking while helping people stay out of trouble. We’re not an anti-alcohol company but merely a company with goals to keep people DUI-free.

The ones who get in the most trouble are guys – ages 21-35. As some of this demographic falls within the craft beer drinkers, I thought the article below might be helpful to your audience.

Here is our Superbowl blog – http://www.bacalcohol.com/superbowlsundaybeerbuzz/

It’s a big drinking time – hence increased police and road blocks. Feel free to use information within the blog or a mention/link if you feel so inclined.

Let me know what you think,

  2. I spent a night in Kingman once upon a time. Now I live in NM, where I sculpt bronze beer bottle openers (amongst other things).
I’d love to see what you think of these fine art bronzes adapted for opening beers I have on Kickstarter…
And I’d be delighted if you wanted to share them!

  4. Edge Media Publishing needs a freelance writer from NM to write on the NM beer culture. We aren’t looking for professional journalists, we’re looking for people who KNOW and will/like to write about it. We have proof-readers and editors here to keep the article crisp and clean for a magazine. Please let me know if you’re interested. This blog A fool and his beer is great, please keep up the good work. There are few active beer blogs online and this is one of them.
